Crypto Risk / Reward Calculator

Compare entry, target, and stop-loss levels to calculate reward-to-risk ratio, break-even win rate, and optional fee-adjusted profit or loss.

This calculator classifies the mathematical relationship only. It does not recommend trades or predict outcomes.

Setup Inputs

Compare target reward against stop-loss risk.

Enter an entry, target, and stop. Position size is optional and adds fee-aware profit and loss estimates.

Entry price is required.

Target price is required.

Stop loss price is required.

Understanding Risk / Reward Math

What is Risk / Reward?

Risk / Reward compares how much a setup could lose at the stop with how much it could gain at the target. It is setup math, not a forecast.

Why Traders Use It

Risk / Reward helps traders compare setups with different entry, target, and invalidation levels using a consistent mathematical frame.

Break-even Win Rate

The break-even win rate estimates how often a setup would need to win for the reward and risk amounts to balance before trading costs.

High Ratio Does Not Guarantee Success

A high ratio can still fail if the target is unrealistic or market conditions change. The calculator does not measure probability.

How Fees Affect P/L

When position size is provided, entry and exit fees reduce potential profit and increase potential loss. This keeps the estimate closer to real execution math.

Limitations

The calculator does not include slippage, funding, taxes, liquidity, execution quality, or whether a target is likely to be reached.

FAQ

Crypto Risk / Reward Calculator Questions

What is a good Risk / Reward ratio?

There is no universal good ratio. Higher ratios mean more potential reward relative to risk, but they do not say whether the setup is likely to work.

Does this calculator guarantee profit?

No. It only calculates the mathematical relationship between entry, target, and stop levels. It does not predict whether a target or stop will be reached.

What is break-even win rate?

Break-even win rate is the approximate percentage of winning trades required for the reward and risk amounts to balance before trading costs.

How are fees included?

Entry and exit fee percentages are included in potential profit and loss when a position size is entered. The headline ratio remains based on price reward versus price risk.

Can I use this for crypto?

Yes. The calculator is built for crypto price scenarios and can optionally use CoqiLabs asset context for current-price entry.

Can this be used for long and short setups?

Yes. A target above entry and stop below entry is treated as long. A target below entry and stop above entry is treated as short.
